How to Read This Book
You do not have to read this book like a business novel—from the first page to the last without stopping. It is designed as a working map: first see the overall logic, then return to the chapters and questions relevant to your company.
First pass — follow the logic
Do not try to retain every metric, formula, and detail. Focus on the transition: constraint → capability → economic result → change in power → next constraint.
Within your function — go deeper
When a chapter touches your area of responsibility, stop at the mechanics, metrics, and examples. For the other chapters, on the first pass it is enough to understand the principle.
The “stage check” is not an exam
These are questions not about your memory, but about your company. If they cannot be answered quickly with numbers and rules, or if no one can clearly name the person responsible, mark the page and return to it with your team.
After reading — return to the book
Use the relevant chapters before a strategy session, a process change, an investment, or a new stage of growth. What seems like someone else’s function today may become your constraint tomorrow.
